Helvetas Water Project 2019

Continuing one of Swans traditions, Swan is supporting a further Helvetas drinking water project. This year the project is in Nepal, Helvetas first partner country. Since the beginning of this specific water project in 2001, 442 facilities for clean drinking water have been built and over 150,000 people in 25,000 household have benefited from sanitary facilities and an improved drinking water supply.

The aim of this project is to further educate the locals about the proper water handling, basic hygienic rules and how to prevent diseases as well as to continue to provide easy access to clean drinking water. By working with Helvetas for many years, we can guarantee that our donations are being used properly.

ACEA Ato 2 and SWAN Analitica srl Italy agree to framework agreement on turbidimeters

As an integrated multi-utility leader, Acea offers services in water, energy and environmental business. It is a leading Italian operator in the potable water sector with approximately 9 million inhabitants served in Lazio, Tuscany, Umbria and Campania.

Acea manages a very extensive potable water network of around 10'000 km and 210 sources of water supply. Special emphasis is put onto instrumentation requiring lowest possible maintenance (cleaning, calibration, spare parts). The three year framework agreement is based on a long-term customer relationship dating back to 2004 and applies to Acea Ato 2, which manages the potable network in Rome and neighboring municipalities.

Since its successful trial period in 2013, the installed turbidity monitor AMI Turbiwell has worked without maintenance to this day, thereby living up to the customer's expectations. This has ultimately paved the way for the 3-year contractual agreement.

SWAN’s AMI Turbiwell is a non-contact turbidimeter which requires a minimal maintenance, with no moving parts. Furthermore, the AMI Turbiwell only requires a low sample flow to measure – which is especially appealing to smaller sized water treatment works. Due to its measurement principle, the AMI Turbiwell can be applied to all types of water – from pure water through to effluent. It can also easily cope with heavily gassed samples, making it the ideal solution to all water monitoring requirements.
