AMI Error Decoder

Instruments based on the AMI transmitter log error messages as:

  • Alarms as 32 bit integer (E001-E032)

  • Alarms E(xtended) as 32 bit integer (E033-E064)

The messages are listed in the log file in columns 3 and 4 in decimal format.

Not all alarms are defined on all SWAN instruments and column 4 may not be available.

The AMI Error Decoder transforms the decimal code into a binary number and checks for active bits. Each active bit represents an error or status message.
